Illumination for a New Generation

A Stained Glass Window Project for the URI Catholic Center Chapel

A stained glass window project was recently completed in the Catholic Center Chapel. An initial donor organized a group of generous helpers, “The Friends of the Catholic Center at URI,” who have undertaken all fundraising efforts for this project. The eight large windows in the chapel sanctuary were first replaced with new, energy-efficient clear glass panes. Windows obtained from a closed church in Pennsylvania were then retrofitted and adapted for use in our space at a considerably reduced cost. Descriptions of the eight windows can be found below, as well as a photo album of the newly installed windows.
