Tim Legg, President
Hello all! I am the President of the Student Executive Board this year at the Catholic Center (the CC). On behalf of our Student Executive Board I’d like to personally welcome you to the Center and our Rhody Catholic community. I am from Attleboro, Massachusetts, and a Civil Engineering major going into my senior year. Here at URI, I have been a tour guide, resident advisor, orientation leader as well as a member of various other student organizations. I am very excited for the year and all that is in store for this wonderful community. This year I hope that we can make the Catholic Center a home away from home and place of spiritual growth where everyone feels comfortable to come pray, or just relax with friends. The beginning of the year can sometimes be crazy and hectic but the staff and I are here as a support to you, so please feel free to ask us for help or assistance if you need it. I look forward to getting to know you throughout the course of this year! If you ever need to contact me my email is firstname.lastname@example.org and feel free to stop by the CC! Some facts about me are that I enjoy running, hiking, paddle boarding, surfing, biking, slack lining, and almost any other activity you can do outdoors. If you want to talk about food and tea, I also consider myself a foodie and tea connoisseur.
Megan Eaton, Hospitality Co-Chair
I am a Senior, Communicative Disorders major here at URI. I am originally from Rutland, Vermont, but have had no problem making the Catholic Center my home away from home. I’ve been involved in RCO since my freshmen year and have served as Hospitality Chair my sophomore year. I love to cook, hike, swim, shop, and hang out with my fiends in the little time I have free. I’m so excited to see what the 2017-2018 school year will bring!
Carolyn Cote, Hospitality Co-Chair
I am a Junior here at URI studying Nursing! I am from Warwick, Rhode Island and I started getting involved with the Catholic Center at the beginning of my freshman year. The Catholic Center in the last year has helped me grow in my faith and step out of my comfort zone. I’m a lifeguard and a swim instructor. Outside of the Catholic Center I love swimming, skiing and boating. I can’t wait to jump into this new year with RCO and serve as co-hospitality chair!
Max Fullmer, Service Chair
It’s my 3rd year here at URI as an ocean engineering student. During this past year I participated in bible studies, discipleship, and a mission trip to Ecuador with our F.O.C.U.S. missionaries. I’m excited to step up to my role as Service Chair and to get the Catholic Center more connected with other groups on campus. Prepare your hearts to be set ablaze!
Katie Shattuck, Campus Outreach Chair
I am a very enthusiastic junior! I am from Huntsville Alabama. I am studying child psychology and development. I am on the women’s rowing team. I love brownies and laughter. I am thrilled to be on the executive board this year! I am looking forward to a great year of new friendships and developing a deeper relationship with Christ.
Makayla Goulet, Liturgy Chair
I am a sophomore here at URI and studying Kinesiology! I am from Saco, Maine and started getting involved here at the Catholic Center at the beginning of my freshman year. By getting involved here, I have grown deeper in my faith and found a place I can now call home. Outside of the Catholic Center I am a dancer for the URI dance company and I enjoy running, swimming and hiking. I am excited to see what RCO has in store for this new year as well as getting the opportunity to work with a wonderful team and all of you!
Katie Mossbarger, Social Chair
I am a sophomore in the College of Nursing here at URI. I am from Newtown, Connecticut and I love playing sports, and being active! My two favorite sports are basketball and soccer. I became involved in the Catholic Center in the beginning of my freshman year, and I am so glad I did so because it helped me meet so many amazing people! I’m very excited for another great year here at URI!
